An infidelity investigation uses professional surveillance, background research and digital footprint analysis to gather lawful, factual evidence about whether a partner is being unfaithful. What it produces is a record of what was observed during surveillance as well as the results of the background tracing and digital analysis.
What we will not do
We do not place tracking devices on a vehicle you do not own. In Texas, installing an electronic tracking device on another person’s vehicle without their consent is a criminal offense.
We do not install monitoring or spyware software on a phone, computer or account belonging to anyone other than you. Depending on what is installed and what it captures, that can violate both state and federal law.
Beyond the legal exposure, evidence obtained that way tends to create a problem for the person who commissioned it.
How the work is done
The core of an infidelity investigation is surveillance: an investigator observes from a discreet position and records what happens. Billing is hourly with a four-hour minimum, and the rate depends on whether the operation uses a single vehicle or two vehicles at the same time. The clock starts when the investigator sets out for the location; inside the Austin area it stops when the operation is terminated, and if the operation goes outside the Austin area it stops on arrival back in Austin.
How many hours a case needs varies, and it depends on what is observed and whether the goals of the operation are met. The hours can be spread across more than one day rather than spent in one sitting. Where an operation does run across several days, we work from three different vehicles and avoid using the same one twice in a row.
Other services sometimes support the work. A vehicle sightings search can show where a vehicle has been photographed, which often tells us where and when to be before anyone is in the field. Social media investigation and a background check can help establish who someone is and what the investigator can find out about them.
What the evidence can and cannot settle
Surveillance records what happens in view of the investigator during the hours worked. An uneventful period is not proof that nothing is happening. We present what we find, or what we do not find.
Whether we take the case
During the consultation we will work out whether the case is one we can help with and whether the investigation is the right step.
We will not take a case where a protective, restraining or no-contact order is in effect against the client with respect to the subject, and we will not conduct surveillance intended to stalk, harass, threaten or intimidate anyone. The written agreement includes a certification you sign before any work begins.
What you receive
A written surveillance report: dates, times, locations, movements, and what was observed at each. You receive images and video recorded during the operation. You'll also receive a report detailing what was found in the background and digital footprint research.
Everything is confidential. Afterwards you can call a real person and talk it through.
Frequently asked questions
Can you put a tracker on their car?
No. In Texas, installing an electronic tracking device on a vehicle belonging to another person without their consent is a criminal offense.
Can you get into their phone, messages or accounts?
No. We do not install monitoring or spyware software on devices or accounts belonging to anyone other than the client, and we do not access private accounts by deception. Depending on what is installed and what it captures, that conduct can violate both state and federal law, and evidence obtained that way tends to create a problem for the person who commissioned it.
How many surveillance hours will I need?
There is a four-hour minimum for surveillance. Beyond that it varies, and it depends on what is observed and whether the goals of the operation are met. The hours can be spread across more than one day. We would rather tell you after the first block that the case needs more time, or that it does not, than sell a large number of hours at the start.
What if the surveillance shows nothing?
That can happen. You will receive the report which will document the factual record of those hours.
Will they know?
The work is conducted discreetly, from a distance, and from public vantage points where the investigator has a lawful right to be. On single-vehicle work we run three different vehicles and avoid using the same one on consecutive days, since being seen repeatedly is a bigger risk than being seen once. No method can guarantee that someone actively watching for surveillance will not notice it.
Can I use this in a divorce or custody case?
That is a question for a family lawyer, and worth asking before the surveillance starts. Courtroom testimony is not included in the scope of a surveillance engagement.

Yes. The engagement, the work and the report are confidential, and the investigation does not involve contacting the subject or anyone who knows them.
Where do you work?
Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park and the rest of Central Texas. Operations that take the investigator outside that area are billed through until arrival back in Austin.
